Apples by Paul-Louis Bolot (French 1918-2003) signed & dated signed oil on canvas canvas: 15 x 18 inches original oil painting condition: minor surface scuffing but overall very good and sound provenance: all the paintings we have by this artist have come from the artists estate in France. Part of the Modernist school of the twentieth century, Bolot returned to the Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1936. He was part of the famous Group “ESPACE” in the 50s of André BLOC (1896-1966) which brings together many Artists, including: Sonia DELAUNNAY, Fernand LEGER, Serge POLIAKOFF, Jean PROUVÉ, Victor VASARELY, and his sculptor friend Maxime DESCOMBIN (1909-2003).
